Kingdom Thunder is a charity ride on some of the most beautiful roads in Vermont to support the local community center’s Healthy Changes Initiative – a groundbreaking
exercise program for people suffering from diabetes, obesity, and/or heart disease. Indoor Recreation of Orleans County (IROC) offers substantially discounted
memberships to hundreds of people who suffer from these chronic conditions, plus any senior over the age of 65, cancer patients, and cancer survivors. Join
Kingdom Thunder for a great ride, great company, great eats, great party, great lodging, and great cause.
$69 covers registration, minimum donation, and Bonfire, BBQ, and music by Southern Comfort at Cedarwood Resort at
Jay on Saturday night after a good day’s ride. Here’s the schedule so far:
- Ride in Friday night, August 27th – Bus Drivers at D’Cota’s Tavern
- Ride starts Saturday morning at 10:00 am leaving from Cedarwood Resort and Jay Village – out through Newport
to Island Pond, Burke, Lyndonville, Sutton, Willoughby Gap, Orleans, Lowell Mountain, and back to Jay.
- BBQ featuring the Southern Comfort Band on Saturday night at Cedarwood
Resort at Jay.
- Breakfast at the local Legion Post Sunday Morning
- Blessing of the Bikes Sunday morning at 10:00 am.
- Incredible Kingdom Thunder discounts on lodging at Cedarwood Lodge at Jay, Jay Village Inn, Snowline Lodge, Inglenook Lodge, and at Jay Peak’s Tram Haus
