Kingdom Thunder is a charity ride on some of the most beautiful roads in Vermont to support our local community center’s Healthy Changes Initiative – a groundbreaking, discounted membership and exercise program for people living with chronic conditions such as diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as cancer patients, cancer survivors, and seniors 65 years of age and older.

$45 per person
Price includes a $25 donation to IROC and $20 cost of the BBQ, Bonfire, and Band (The Bus Drivers) at Cedarwood Resort at Jay on Saturday night after a good day’s ride.

Here’s the schedule:

  • Friday night, August 24th –

Ride In -- It’s a party with Monami at D’Cota’s Tavern.   $5 cover.

  • Saturday, August 25th –

Ride starts at 10:00 am with the Blessing of the Bikes, then leaves from Cedarwood Resort and Jay Village – out through Newport to Island Pond, Stewartstown (NH) Burke, Lyndonville, Willoughby Gap, Orleans, Lowell Mountain, and back to Jay.  There is an additional charge of $10 for the all-you-can-eat lunch at The Spa which includes an additional donation to IROC of $1 per person.

BBQ and the Bus Drivers at Cedarwood Resort at Jay in the afternoon and evening.  Jeff Przech is a great performer.  Kurtis Johnson pulls the pork and pulls out all the stops to put together a great BBQ.  Music starts at 4:00 pm.  BBQ at 5:00 pm.  Bus Drivers at 7:30 pm until whenever the sheriffs tell us to shut it down. www.busdriversband.com

  • Sunday August 26th

Breakfast at Cedarwood and ride out.
Registered Riders also receive substantial Kingdom Thunder discounts on lodging at Cedarwood Lodge at Jay, Jay Village Inn and at Jay Peak’s Tram Haus Lodge and Condos. Camping is available at Cedarwood Resort.  Those who register on or before August 1st get a free Kingdom Thunder Tee Shirt.
Price does not include the $5 cover for D’Cota’s on Friday night, the cost of breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and the $10 for lunch on Saturday.
